| The
drawing is very accurate but the environment which surround
those houses or those objects is not realistic. The colors and
especially the light seem to be unreal. Its this contrast
which undoubtedly gives the charm to this series of paintings,
much more surprising and contemporary than one would have supposed
at first sight |

| The
work of the painter Jean-maire Labertonnière is true
to the high tradition of the landscape painting of the school
of Crozant (where he was born). He works and gives exhibitions
in his studio la magine. One is often transperced
by the precise draftghsmanship and treatment of color, a dream
of recomforting romanticisms for the last day of the millennium.
This proves that romantic thoughts remain as the eternal youth
of the soul. |
